TATRAS and a California-raised artist, designer, and activist, Phil America, introduce a collaborative collection with the theme: “City Solitude”. The collection depicts the world from the view of the past and future, which portrays the value that is changing rapidly in this modern society. The collection goes fur beyond apparel and explores a simple yet complicated question, “Why do borders exist?”
Phil wishes this collection to be a conversation starter on the idea of a free, borderless world. Each piece carries its own message acting as “a sculptural, wearable piece of work allowing the owner to spark their own contemplative conversation with other individuals”. Anaglyph technology is also incorporated as a design indicating that any issues must be seen from various points of view.
